As April 16 is National Healthcare Decision Day\, this Death over Drafts is focused on having vital conversations about healthcare goals and wishes*. Special guest crafter\, aka host\, Erica Hill\, Licensed Funeral Director will be sharing insights on how to be best prepared and lessons learned in your advance care planning. \nWe will be brewing up conversation utilizing various resources and using The Death Deck\, a lively tool to navigate many topics related to death. Most importantly\, we want to encourage meaningful connections and have fun while de-stigmatizing talk about the inevitable. DESCRIPTION:Come hangout with a community of folks who are grieving the loss of their beloved pets. We get together bimonthly and honor them through arts and crafts. We’ll provide the art supplies\, but feel free to bring your own! \nWater and light snacks provided! \nPlease bring an item that reminds you of your beloved pet to share with the group. We will be making keychains as we discuss of pet grief. \nArts supplies\, water and light snacks will be provided. \nFollow @MourningPug on Instagram for updates! \nWe’re asking for donations ($5-10) for the event (for venue rental\, art supplies and any extra goes to a local animal shelter.) DESCRIPTION:Queer Death Salon is a community space for all 2SLGBTQIA+ people to come together to discuss death\, dying and grief. It is a facilitated drop-in discussion space\, with the purpose of building connection\, skill\, and resources for 2SLGBTQIA+ people navigating end of life in our personal lives and in our communities. \nOn April 8\, join us for a virtual gathering for people who have lost someone or multiple people to suicide and who are loooking to share space with people who have experienced similar circumstances. \nLoss by suicide brings particular griefs related to stigma\, invalidation of the loss\, failure to ‘save’ a loved one\, guilt\, confusion\, anger and more.
