Are you passionate about death positivity, green and alternative death practices, educational outreach and writing? TalkDeath.com wants to hire you! TalkDeath is adding a part-time writer, researcher, and social media manager to our team! Candidates must be familiar with the death positive community, deathcare in general, and the various online tools utilized by TalkDeath. Most articles on TalkDeath require background research and sources, and so successful candidates will be proficient at both research and writing. Candidates will also have excellent English written and verbal communication skills to communicate with sources and the TalkDeath community.

Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Write 3-4 quality articles a month
  • Post on Social Media Daily  – curating content and creating original content
  • Work closely with our editor to brainstorm content ideas
  • Create and manage Social Media contests
  • Design images and banners for website and social media
  • Actively respond to social media messages, comments and emails

Necessary Skills 

  • Passionate about the death positive community, green and alternative death care practices
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a social media manager
  • English writing proficiency
  • Research proficiency
  • Some WordPress knowledge
  • Good Canva experience
  • Good eye for design
  • General familiarity with the death profession

Pluses:

  • Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator experience 
  • Video creation/editing experience
  • WordPress experience
