January 24, 2023 – The online memorial platform, Keeper Memorials, has announced a new partnership with Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, a charity established and funded by the UK Government to promote and support Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT) in the UK. HMDT will utilize Keeper’s digital memorialization tools.

Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT) will stream an Online Commemoration for Holocaust Memorial Day at 7pm on January 26th. The commemoration is available to watch for free to anyone in the UK Together we remember the 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and millions of other people who were murdered in recent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. The Commemoration includes testimony for Holocaust and genocide survivors, candle lighting by political and religious leaders and community groups and is watched by tens of thousands of viewers in the UK and internationally.

Keeper memorial pages are being utilized by HMDT and their supporters to remember and commemorate millions of genocide victims. This will broaden the already extensive mission of HMDT’s team, allowing supporters and families to manage their online memorialization content at scale, while introducing new ways to share the memories and stories of those impacted by genocide.

“Keeper provided us with the opportunity to build a bespoke branded product that included the features required for our supporters to create a lasting memorial for loved ones, some of whom were murdered during the Holocaust and some in recent genocides. In many of these cases, the place and date of death is not known and in some cases pages have been created in memory of whole families. Keeper offers an easy-to-use interface where our supporters can add information and images about their loved one.” – Julia Marcuson, Senior Development Manager, Holocaust Memorial Day Trust

“Holocaust Memorial Day Trust was a natural fit for Keeper Memorials as their message aligns with our goal of giving people meaningful ways to memorialize their loved ones. The work that HMDT has accomplished in the UK impacts families globally, and it’s an honor that our application is being used to share life stories of millions of victims and survivors.” – Mandy Benoualid, President, Keeper Memorials.
